Christmas Around the World
For the next three weeks students will be visiting different countries around the world to learn about their holiday traditions. We will be visiting Mexico, England, Germany, Israel, Africa, etc. Students will receive a stamp for every country they visit. Pictures will be posted for each country. :)

Our first stop is to Africa where we are learning about Kwanzaa. Below are vocabulary words that will help your child with their social studies homework.

Fire Safety
Fire Station 27 came to our school to talk to our kindergarteners about fire safety. We learned about what an emergency situation is and what number to call in case of an emergency. The firefighters showed us their fire gear and fire engine. We had so much fun!

Families
In Social Studies, we are beginning our unit on families and friends. We are talking about who may be in a family and some different activities families may do together. Below are a few pictures of my family. Please send in a picture of your child's family so we can share. Ask your child what their favorite thing to do with their family is. Leave a comment below and your child will receive a free book!
